Aren't you discriminating against Spanish speakers right now? Oh.. no. No. NO!!! Lolz.
I'm not offering a job, so no.

I sure agree we don't live with her NOT having every single thing she could ever want, including the most expensive hair products, eating NY Strips, filet Mignot, lobster tails, etc etc.... has her own apartment downstairs with Downey, Gain, Clorox beach, & live on 2 acres with fishing, every fruit & berry you could think of, as well as we let he boyfriend stay, will NOT give her the alarm for the garage, shed, or house? I paid for her to get her clothes here, bought her clothes when her mom would NOT give her anything, given her money for extras she would like, if we go to dinner we pay for hers too even it the plates are $50 each etc etc... so do I pay her money as well or is $25 a week good since we pay for EVERYTHING, even has a car to drive & we pay the gas, (Mustang Convertible 40th year addition.) As well as treat her like my little sister even though she is 26 yrs old, so she does not eat alone but with the family, if she is not with her BF & we have movie night, we take her etc etc.... so Yes she is living rent FREE but she helps me for that, she had NO WERE to go but to JAIL!!!!
P.S. all pay for EVERYTHING for her dog, to food, treats, a bed, clothes, & has the time of her life here.....
No, no way is $25 per week acceptable. Deduct her toiletries from pay if you wish, but you are legally required to pay minimum wage, at the *minimum*. Funny how that works.

But then they couldn't have the benefits of a live-in nanny. Why do you think so many parents DEMAND for the nanny to live-in?
"Live-out nannies need NOT apply."
Most parents do not demand the nanny live in. The only ones that "demand" it are those that advertise a live-in position.
Exactly. When they say live-in, they don't want to talk with live-outs. They want to keep you under their nose, and control.

Let's do some math? at 15/hr, 40 hrs/week she gets about 2600. Even if the live-in rate is drastically lower at 10$/hr for the same number of hours she would make about 1,800 per month. The difference is 800$ only, so she is saving 1500-800=700 plus whatever she would have paid for transport and utilities. I took an extreme example on purpose to demonstrate that she is better off even with below the rock bottom rates with a live-in arrangement. At 12$/hr the savings for live-in vs live out are more than a grand.
For a live in the only remaining fixed costs are a cell phone, health insurance and food. The rest is her discretionary income.
Sure, live-in is not for everyone. Just like nannying is not for everyone. But to say that there is no financial benefit is a blatant lie for anyone who can put 2 and 2 together.
AMEN!1!! SO WELL SAID!!!!

You don't have to pay rent, utilities, food, etc.
I am going to assume that you still have regular scheduled hours, a car to go out and do things, and more free money than you would have if you lived on your own.
I do think that it only works if it's a financial advantage for both parties involved. NF has to be paying less than they would for a live-out nanny, and nanny has to be netting more money every month than if she was paying for an apartment and utilities on her own.
Most nannies would be 1000 times happier to rent a room elsewhere.
Believe me.

I bet you wake up with a big smile every morning because you are royally screwed by your employer every day.

okay? Most would rather rent a room somewhere else, but some are happy to have the extra cash. Obviously, people who don't think it's worth it to live-in shouldn't do so.
