Yes. That is why my nanny’s boyfriend is with her at work - to show her how two people interact in a positive way. SARCASM

You two posters are deeply troubled!

First, hogwash!

Second, how do you know that goofy OP and her mother don’t fight constantly?

Ridiculous post. You do not bring your mother to work with you every day for three months in any job.

I don’t think we are doctors , lawyers or we are not in respected profession that we have to follow rules strictly.
I see families who don’t think there is difference between nanny or housekeeper. I would be against op if we would be in respectful profession.
I don’t think op is wrong it’s like get two for one kind of deal. Pay for one and get two.

Absolutely pathetic and ridiculous post. I would not want some employees mother in my home distracting my nanny and am not the least bit interested in any two-for-one deal!!! Boyfriends, sisters, parents, or friends do not get to hang out with you for eight hours a day while you are supposed to be working! Aside from the obvious distraction, I do not want the liability if your mother gets hurt or damages my home while “working” for free nor do I want my baby handled by some woman I have not run a background check or seen proof of vaccinations.

This has to be the most absurd thread ever posted by a nanny!!

OP, if your mother is under 60, able-bodied, and presumably of sound mind, I am surprised that SHE would agree with this request. I certainly wouldn't agree to such an unprofessional request made by my (adult) child. Is your mother not capable of entertaining herself, or is this request purely your idea because you need to be assured of her presence 24/7 while she's visiting? Cut the umbilical cord. It's time. Not sorry for being harsh. This is my opinion as a mother who has raised three well-rounded men.

It’s unfortunate that children will be learning from you.

Who care for your views????
I got the job and they are going to pay me $30 hourly,
I am going to work 50 hours but not OT. I am okay with that. Since, they travel a lot and they will pay me whenever they travel. They will offer me health insurance next year.
THEY WELCOME MY MOM AS LONG AS SHE WILL BE IN US NOT ONLY THREE MONTHS.
I learned I don’t have to ask any advice from you guys ( most of you are just judgmental and harsh)
I am sorry what you are going through .
But, try to be polite and positive.( I know what I asked was not professional but you could reply me in non judgmental way)
We are in a profession where children learn from us.

Please read your previous posts. You have no self awareness. Congratulations for finding this family, I hope the position lasts a long time because you sound awful and unprofessional- It's not so easy to find families willing to put up with YOUR nonsense, lack of boundaries, rudeness and entitlement.

Op I think it's amazing you found a family willing to pay you that and if you can find another golden unicorn Willing to do the same you are really lucky. Frankly you are the type of nanny I would run from, but a sucker is born every minute!

+1.

I have to ask, OP; what is so special about you? $33/hr is EXTREMELY high. Yes, I know you said you have a BA in education, but parents who value that and are willing to pay a higher rate for it will generally also want someone with better English skills. Is your degree from an American university? Do you have some other unusual, desirable skill that parents are willing to pay extra for?
