The biggest problem is parents who can't make up their minds about what they want:
A. A professional who knows how to do her job
OR
B. A newbie you can... and need to train.
In their dreams they think they can have both, hence the wild success of this forum.

We are Foreign Service so move every 2 years, different nanny every two years. My three boys are just fine, and looking fw to country number 4 soon.

What makes you so sure that some anonymous poster here is so smart? Because what was said touched a nerve and rang true? It you can't maintain (or afford) a relatively stable nanny, it is indeed best to opt for more stable arrangements. Many parents, you know, would feel lucky if they managed to have one nanny for a whole year.

What makes you so sure that some anonymous poster here is so smart? Because what was said touched a nerve and rang true? I am firing my nanny today too. I had no idea the yearly turnover of nannies could detrimentally affect my kids for life!!!! Reading about attachment issues at the recommendation of some very smart nannies on this board really opened my eyes. It is just not worth it to work anymore.

Oh really?? Attachment issues? Must fire nanny ASAP now before the bond gets too strong because the nanny job ALWAYS ends. Nanny is not going to be around when my baby goes to college.
Better get rid of the nanny now and just be SAHM....
