No - You don't have a boyfriend so just say "No, I do not" - If they ask what you're doing for the weekend, say "Going to the beach". You don't need to make it difficult or get into detail.

If you just reference it casually in passing the way most people talk about their personal lives to employers, I would be fine with it. If you want a big coming out the closet moment and make a big deal out of it and want some kind of recognition for it, then no I wouldn't be okay with it.

Gay or straight I don't want my kids knowing about your love life or sex life but do I hear if they hear you mention in a conversation that are going away with your girlfriend/boyfriend for the weekend - no.

As a gay nanny, I would NEVER hide my family from my NF. I know that being a nanny is a very personal job. I have become very close with all of my past nanny families. I chat with them about their personal lives off work hours and about my weekend plans, etc. All of my families have met my wife and one family (who I was with for 5 years) were at our wedding 4 years ago. I think hiding sexuality is like going back in history. If a NF ever had a problem with me, the woman I love, my morals, etc then that family would be a very poor fit for me! My current charges (age 3, 7, and 8) all know that I am married to a woman. They asked a couple questions, met my wonderful wife at their birthday parties and other occasions, and it was never a big deal. Why would it be? They love me as their nanny!

I realize some will jump at the chance to criticize my choice of words (i.e "sin") however, as a few PP's have pointed it, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions, as long as we are all trying our best to treat one another with love and forgiveness.
