Can you read? Or are you illiterate?

Why aren't APs like you disciplined when you lie through your teeth about your childcare experiences and motivations for coming to the US?

These are the same APs who think it's acceptable to tell a family they are comfortable driving children around the DMV when they just got their license and have never actually driven a car.

I love how our troll used Google to translate some word they thought meant "evil child who is out of control" and came up with "rambunctious"

This thread is the most helpful thing I’ve ever read in terms of clarifying that having an au pair sounds like a nightmare. There are actually multiple suggesting chucking a teddy bear at a child’s face is appropriate….

Anonymous wrote:I agree with you about you AP did wrong. But on the other hand, None AP deserve to be disrespectful from any child. Letting kids kicking, punching, hitting, bitting and yelling at them So bad. When in most cases, parents sadly DO NOT do anything to try to discipline their kids teahing them that They are behavior is absolutely Wrong and they need to respect everyone. Mainy Adults. Anyways, I glad you got your peace and privacy back. Good luck.

So what is your solution since it sounds like you have *loads* of child development experience (that you likely over-exaggerated and lied about on your AP application anyway)?

She didn’t throw a toy at someone. She tossed her teddy bear, underhanded, in the air. She’s four years old. The teddy bear landed gently in the AP’s lap. The AP then grabbed it, threw it overhand with full force, at my child’s face. I found out later the AP was upset because the guy she had dated for a few months - a year ago - had posted a picture of him and his new girlfriend on social media and that’s why AP was upset.

She threw the tow at an adult! I’m so tired of you trying to defend that your child isn’t disrespectful and rambunctious. The Aupair was probably tired of your brat constantly hitting her and you not doing anything. You’re a nasty woman and I see where your kids get it from. I hope and pray no one else works for you again.

Ok ok to all the au pairs - Ma’am, this is a Wendy’s.

And since you may not be familiar with American slang, here’s the translation - you are responding to a post made two weeks ago over a very specific situation, specifically seeking advice from other host parents, not au pairs, on how to get through the week. The week has come and gone. The au pair has moved on. The family have moved on. There is no additional benefit to keeping this thread alive except to enjoy folks embarrassing themselves. Let’s move on everyone!!!
