That person is just being purposefully obtuse. If OP was about to be fired for something wrong she had done, she’d certainly have some idea about it. This has to be some personal issue the immature parent is having. I’m really hoping we’ll get an update soon about it! My curiousity is piqued

OP here. I did not text or contact my employers on off hours not did they text or call me. I am well aware I am neither friend nor family. I don’t know what you hoped to accomplish with your post.

OP here. Not “complaining” but my employers have always done it in the past. And usually text me a couple of times over a weekend so not hearing from them at all for four days is unusual. Demonstrates that something in very wrong.

Well, she probably usually gets a “Merry Christmas” text from them. All my nanny families always send me one. It’s a different kind of job, pp. Whether you actually care about each other or not (which often you tend to because there’s kids involved), you play that family role because otherwise I feel it would make the job awkward.

Keep in mind this is entirely my opinion and based on my experiences. That’s just how I feel about it.

Sorry this is ruining your holiday, OP. I find it hard to believe she would fire you for something insignificant so it must be something else, like finances. Wishing you peace and love.


Thank you, PP. OP again and I have no idea why my employer is angry with me so I don’t know if it is insignificant or significant! It isn’t money - they are quite wealthy on their own and the father has a significant trust fund from his parents.
