UM, they do. At least the ones I meet. They want to know when they will be expected to work and access to a car in the first interview. They already know the vacation policies, stipend, insurance etc.

If I only wanted the experience of having a young adult live in my home, I would host an exchange student. If AP doesn’t want to work, she can find another way to live in the USA. APs don’t get government or bank holidays. Again, if that is an issue for them, they have this amazing thing called “freedom of choice” and they can choose not to be an AP.
