I can only imagine what other issues you run into on this job that you don't even need because you don't even need the money. Why not quit instead of coming to the Internet to complain about a baby's mothers requests? You don't need to earn a living after all
You seem to be new here. Welcome to DCUM.
What is this some sort of strange norm? I've never in my life heard someone complaint about an aspect of a job and letting it bother them so much so that they seek advice from strangers online, then have the nerve to say they don't even need the money? You're working as a nanny, yes you do need the money.
Op here. I don't complain about minor things. An infant not getting the required sleep is bothersome. You clearly have never worked with an infant. If so you would understand the importance of sleep and caring for an overtired infant. I don't need the money? Unlike you, I don't nanny for a paycheck. I come from family money. I do not have to work but I love children. I'm in school as well.

Anonymous wrote:I'm really confused by a lot of this thread and how long it has gotten, but have you sat down with your MB (or DB) and discussed why you feel as you do?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Your MB clearly doesn't quite understand how much sleep babies need. Ask for a sitdown and present them with research - print out a couple of charts and articles.
Or just stop waking him up and lie to her.
Op here. I'm going to lie to her.
I'm not going to lie to her.

Let's not turn this into a debate. Any person with infant experience knows that a bad can be delayed if the proper sleep is not met.
Sure, but when you ridiculously exaggerate it makes me wonder what else of your post you're exaggerating.
Get your facts straight. I didn't respond with the sleeping and milestones debate. I do believe in it's true. Do some research and you will see it's not an " exaggeration". Then go MYOB since I didn't write that.
So you're not the one who knew the very developmentally delayed child due to her poor sleep habits and nothing else? My bad. No MYOB here though - are you new ?
I do know that but I wasn't the one who posted about it. I've been an infant nanny for 20 years. I know more about infants than most people on this forum. I'm not here either.
Reading comprehension fail. Question asked if you knew this supposed severely delayed child, not if you "knew" the research. I can see you're not all here, no need to clarify.
I did bother to respond to that because I didn't write it. I just agreed with the poster who wrote it.
Didn't and I meant " I'm not knew here". Stop trying to start stuff. Go get a job and a life.
Oh, ouch, some of us get to leave our jobs at the door, believe it or not. Some of us also do what our bosses ask of us because that's what we are paid for.
When did I ever say that I didn't do what MB asked? Never. I do exactly as she asks, even though my charge is clearly suffering.
