I've never in my life heard someone complaint about an aspect of a job and letting it bother them so much so that they seek advice from strangers online, then have the nerve to say they don't even need the money? Op here. I don't complain about minor things. An infant not getting the required sleep is bothersome. You clearly have never worked with an infant. If so you would understand the importance of sleep and caring for an overtired infant. I don't need the money? Unlike you, I don't nanny for a paycheck. I come from family money. I do not have to work but I love children. I'm in school as well.

lol the way op keeps bragging about working with infants like she is working for the CDC. You don't know what anyone else here does or had to do sweetie. But we only know what you do and complain about because you made a post about it. Let the baby sleep and keep track of it in daily logs. Tell the mb to also track sleep from the evenings. This should prove to her that the baby is sleeping the amount of time she needs. If a woman actually wants someone to wake up an infant it's a clear sign of outright stupidity, mental illness or just taking advantage of the fact that she has a naive nanny because she knows she wouldn't be able to get away with such nonsense if she had the baby in daycare. But since you continue to stay at the job versus moving on it says something of you also. She is a paranoid micromanaging mb. What would you like us to do about it? Quit the job since you don't even need it and find other kids to love by volunteering at the boys and girls club for free

I care for 10 months old baby. In the day time he is in the daycare from 9 am to 6 pm. He only gets 1 hour nap over there because of the noise and the bright light. At night he wakes up so many times and drive me crazy!

Op here. I have. MB took him to the pediatrician ( unrelated) and brought it up. The pediatrician told her she was crazy lol. MB apologized last night and said I was correct. Let him sleep as much as he wants and worry about her " schedule" later. She's a Babywise fan and his pediatrician told her not to using it so strictly on a premature infant.

I'm really confused by a lot of this thread and how long it has gotten, but have you sat down with your MB (or DB) and discussed why you feel as you do?

Op here. I only have an attitude with snarky people on this forum. I said that was a typo and followed up that I WON'T lie to her. It's her child and I can't lie to her about anything. She has the god given right to anything and everything going on with her child.

Unlike most of you nannies, my job is more than a paycheck to me. I don't need the money. I do it because I love my work and care.
