She also raised my hours to full time, we haven't discussed bringing my baby but between my job and my boyfriends we should be able to afford childcare now that I'll be full time. That's great OP!! Nice to hear a story of reasonable, adult, strong working relationships between parents and nanny.
Wonderful OP! I actually don't think your outlook was as dire as everyone was saying- your boyfriend is actually in an excellent line of work and if he's good at his job, he should be making some serious financial strides in a few years. It's the immediate year or two ahead that you need to worry about, but you'll get through it.
