There are these amazing things called grocery carts. Our main grocery store has several that fit 3 children. 2 of them sit in the front in a little car or bus and then one in the regular seat. There are not fights because we have our system and we rotate who sits where. If we go to a different store or the big carts are not available I have this thing called the Buggy Bench that is has been a lifesaver. It was developed by a mom of twins. In a pinch I can also just use our triple stroller and pick up a few things.
Also I've been their nanny since they were born, so they are very well behaved with me. We have our moments, but for the most part things run smoothly. We are out almost every day, so they are used to it. We also attend story time, music class, gymnastics class and a beginning preschool class.

As for housekeepers I have no idea what they make, but I would assume in the $12/hr range.
Wrong on both counts. Very few nannies make $25/hr, no matter how often you post that nonsense.

You sound like Alice, every mother's dream. I hope they pay you well for all that work.
She's a doirmat.
She is not. She is an organized nanny who is good at multitasking. I have always done some grocery shopping in all my positions and I actually enjoy it. I also prepare most of the meals for my charges, so I find that it's just easier to be the one doing the shopping to make sure you get all the ingredients you need.
My current charges are 2 year old triplets and we do about 1/2 of the grocery shopping. DB also does some shopping and is good about picking things up whenever I ask him. My charges love to go to the grocery store with me and we always have fun. They get a bagel from the bakery and are always happy to help my pick out the fruits and vegetables that we need from the produce department. They also have fun counting things and interacting with people while we are out and about.
Before anyone puts me down and calls me a doormat, I get paid very well and I extremely happy in this job. I've been here 2 years and this is by far the best family I've ever worked for.

OP here, and I agree! I have no idea how some of the nannies in this post are accomplishing everything that they do during the day.
When I was a SAHM, I spent a lot of time on an evening or early in the morning while the kids were sleeping doing laundry, cleaning, meal prep. I am so impressed that people are getting all of this done during working hours with small kiddos in tow. Hats off to you!!
Thank you very much! I work hard and it is very much appreciated by my employers!

So...You mentioned you wanted your nanny to go grocery shopping for you, then slyly added in a benefit for HER, that she can buy what she wants for your kids.
Like, you need to sweeten the pot a little because inherently you know it is too much.
Families do this all the time, they will ask a nanny to do something that is not a typical childcare duty, then try to put a spin on it that it is child-related somehow.
I had a family who wanted me to vacuum the entire house during nap time. They stated it was child-related since this would keep the floors free of any small parts/choking hazards, etc.
Believe it or not, there are many many nannies that view their full time jobs as childcare and helping their working bosses run their house well.
They cook, shop and clean during downtime or school time, and have time for the obligatory snooze. They are paid well and they are longterm hires.
They are not the type to be posting on dcum like a middle school girl.

My hvac repairman got paid $50 just for driving 10 miles to my house, then $100 for 45 minutes of repair. New nanny paradigm?
HVAC repairman has a lot more schooling than a nanny though.
