I believe my daughter as she NEVER makes up things.
What would you do ?
Bottom line: She believes her child. Then why is she still paying the woman?? Very confusing.
Are you a single parent?
No, I'm not. We both work full time.
I honestly don't really understand this train of thought. I'm not trying to be rude or difficult I'm just honestly trying to understand. I totally get how hard it is to find a new nanny but if you are 100% certain this actually happened then you suck it up and find a new nanny. If the point of your original post was whether or not to believe your DD that's a different story but since you are so certain your DD is telling the truth then I don't understand why you would continue to let the nanny take care of your child. It is NEVER ok for her to hit your child. If it was me the nanny would already be gone.
Agree. I'd be taking care of my own child, if there was ANY question. No career is worth letting your child be abused or neglected. What's your problem, OP?
A slap is hardly abuse. Sometimes you have to trust the nanny that she knows what she is doing.
Shame on you. Please go away.
Newsflash: Some people spank their kids.

Why have your previous nannies been so bad and how many have you had? I know this is not always the answer but maybe you need to look at what you are offering. If you are offering a fair, competitive rate and benefits you really shouldn't be having so much "bad luck".
We had 2 nannies before. The first one was always on her Facebook or texting her friends. Instead of taking care of the baby she was doing some exercises![]()
The second one was always late - Every single day. Sometimes even 40 minutes. When her grand kids got sick, She didn't come for three weeks.. ! And she didn't worry about the backup care.
We are offering fair, competitive rate and all the benefits.
