What does she expect? Older kids are not going to want to do arts and craft out of her nanny goody crap bag or go play at an indoor play yard in a mall.

Try getting a 6 year old boy to do a play date with a 2 yr old girl so you can talk with a nanny that doesn't drive you crazy! Older kids will also tell on you if you break the rules which sucks.
Long napping toddlers and preschoolers are the best for nannies who want a say! OP you made the mistake of taking a job with older kids so sadly its not your time anymore. You'll have to do what the parents want. Since the kids are older you can't just lie to the parents and do something else you want anyway.

So you knew this when you took the job and now think you can change their routine because you don't like being at the pool?
This job doesn't suit you. It isn't the family's fault. It's yours.
