My biggest perk is the type of family I work with. Not the pay, benefits or anything materialistic. Yes, the family I work for is somewhat wealthy and provides me with great compensation, benefits and small perks, but that isn't the perks I love.
The biggest perk I have is working with a family who truly sees me as a family. They value my opinions. regularly thank me. compliment me on my performance and they fully trust me with their child. They never hesitate or question my motives as they know I would do anything I can to give their Lo the best care he can ever receive, and I will protect his life with mine if need be. Amongst all, they push me to succeed in my future career ( in school) and even help me study for tests and quizzes. They view me as a mature, professional adult and give me the trust and respect I deserve. That is the biggest perk I could ever want from them!
Yes, the no makeup, sweats and fun outings is wonderful but I view a lot of that as the smallest factor.

My parents were against me being a nanny in the beginning saying that I will be poor my whole life. I'm hoping within the next 3 years that I will have a networth including my home of 1 million dollars. I'm getting close. *Costco membership!
*DB's mom owns a restaurant and frequently brings lunch over when she visits my charge.
*Amazing bosses who value and respect me. I'd do anything for them!

#2 perk is any and all outings we wanna do are paid for, within reason of course, so i get to be a great nanny and Mommy because we're always busy at the park, zoo, museum, story times, play dates, indoor play areas, etc.

I get paid to play Candyland, hunt for dinosaur eggs in the backyard, make playdoh race cars, and build block towers as tall as myself, all while marveling at how much the kids have grown. What could be better?

Where in my post did you get that I intend to take advantage of my MB. My future children will have nothing to do with that woman. I'm 22 and preparing to leave nannying altogether. If I wanted to have children today, I don't need her permission.

Seriously! Im jealous. I said something offhand about my future children the other day and my MB looked horrified.
