Your nanny either wants to be fired, isn't happy or you don't discipline your kid at all. But you can try with another nanny.

Talk to the child, they understand. Even my toddler knows how to follow directions, ask for things, follows a schedule and talks instead of crying and screaming. Redirect your kid.
All schools, family child cares have discipline policies. Is to help the parent. There're kids who don't develop the skills to calm themselves in situations they get very upset. Later on and I hope not you could pay strangers to discipline your teenager in some behavioral school.

Kids bumps, tantrums, misbehaves, etc that's why you gotta redirect, discipline your kid. Teach them good manners and they can get treats cupcake, tv, etc. Tell things like watch your step, clean up your things, ask for a paper if you find a crayon, etc. Kids aren't stupid. Treat them well.

Even babies knows how to stop when you tell them. It's for thier own good.

Parents: It's so easy to SPOIL your kid with candy, new things but is WORK to teach good manners to your kids. Discipline them. Don't be lazy.

Yes! The kid needs lots of discipline. Looks like it doesn't know how to follow directions and to not cross boundaries.

My 2.5 year old has colored on things he’s not supposed to before. My older kids did it exactly once and not at all. He’s actually better behaved than they were on lots of ways and we don’t parent any differently. A 2 year old who scribbles on a couch is not “bad af” and there is no way to know from this little info whose fault it was… except for definitely the nanny’s.

Sounds like you've never been around a 2YO before.

Seriously, are you an idiot? A 2 year old is left bored and unsupervised, draws on a couch and he’s had AF? Please.

Really, a two year old should know better? I hope you’re not a nanny.

A two year old should know better if they’ve been properly taught. Obviously OP didn’t and is probably as crappy as her nanny to where her child thought it was ok/acceptable to draw on the couch. I bet it wasn’t the first time and he’s done it before with mom. And I still stand by what I said he’s bad AF

A docile chid, sure, but 2yo aren't known for thinking things through and having impulse control, so no, this is on the nanny not supervising.

This. I feel you OP. We also gave notice and our nanny also has essentially stopped working. And shows up 15-30 min late even after I talked to her about her being late. It is absolutely maddening.

Good for them! What do you guys expect? Those nannies have balls.

So professional.
