I am teleworking for the foreseeable future so the time was right. I’m sad she’s leaving, I will miss her and so will my kids. But I feel so free to no longer have to worry about another person. Over the past 10 years she’s had a major surgery, a job loss for her spouse, and an IRS audit that we ended up helping resolve. I’m just glad to be done with this phase...

Supported them through the loss of MBs 30yo brother, 3 miscarriages, 3 unsuccessful rounds of IVF, and a trial separation that was thankfully resolved without divorce. O kept my head down, worked hard often going above and beyond to ease extra stress, and provided consistency for everyone as best I could. Even though those situations made my job much more strenuous, I wouldn't consider it a burden. The nanny-family relationship is a unique intertwining web of professionalism and personal circumstances.

We both feel the same. It's really sad to see this Ugly comment; the way that you talk about the person who have loved and take care of you kids so much and for a long Term. I am speechless. What horrible Mom you are.
