But if you happened to see her right before the holidays, I think a little tip/gift would be appreciated.
I think the problem is that most parents are just nickel and dime their sitters, I mean if you can afford thousands of dollars a year
on nannies, you can’t spend another $25/50/100 on a gift card?!?!?!
You are providing a service and getting paid. Sound like you are too enmeshed with this family and think higher of yourself in their family than they do. They have a new nanny or child care. You need to stop sitting and move on. This is not your family and they are not your parents. You are a grown person. You are not entitled to get gifts for doing a paid task.

Visit them
Still babysit on occasion
Just spent all day at the kids birthday party
Sent them hundreds of pics and videos form the birthday party
They have the cleaning lady extra cash
And I didn’t get one thing
Not even a card or chocolate
Not that I expected it, but come on, I’m their babysitter and everybody gets presents?!?!??
Would you go back there or am I over reacting?
My god, you are entitled. Not everyone gets presents.
