Keep sporadically checking.

Also leave a handout each month on Reminders (Limit phone time, Nap when children are napping, etc.), Things Children are Working on (naming the colors, ABCs, etc. and the schedule (Tues Gymboree, library classes, etc. ).

Put things like "don't leave child in bouncy seat unattended or for more than 20 minutes a time" on it. Also verbally remind her.

All nannies get bored at times as do moms. Childcare is very repetitive.

A nanny who gets bored with kids shouldn't be a nanny...

You've obviously not a very engaged mother or a good nanny! I love my child but doing the same "comedic bit" two hundred times in a row because it makes her laugh is beyond boring!! Or having to console one of her crying dolls 100 times a day. Or reading the same book over and over and over and over and over again in one day!

Omg I would have fired her with even one of the things you mentioned. And I would have taken emergency leave to look after the kids for couple days while frantically interviewing new nannies.

Don't feel bad AT ALL.

That said, my sweet charge is napping right now and I have finished cooking and her laundry, and with my employer's blessing, I am going to take my daily 20 minute nap.

I do the same,my responsibility come first after I relax when everybody sleeping.,she's must be a lazy nanny.
