How is that comment weird? This is not a nanny who lives with the family. Therefore, 92 hours for one family is excessive. And, your comment that "maybe they have multiple kids" is weird. Lots of people have multiple kids and do not require a nanny during off-work hours. In fact, most parents enjoy spending quality time with their kids in the evening and during the weekends. This is important for the child-parent relationship.

What are your hours? Are you nannying for more than one family? Do you live with a family? I am just figuring out how you do 92 hours/week. That's a lot!

I seriously hope you are working for more than one family. If you are nannying 92 hours for one family, that is sad. That means that both parents are away from their kids 92 hours/week. And, they probably can afford to pay you more than $105k but choose not too.

Or that, with multiple kids, they want her to stick around even when they're home? Your second comment is even weirder.

Because it is the law and it is not good to get in trouble with the IRS.

I find some of these figures unbelievable.

If Walton types are paying $50,000 a year plus room, there is no way a non-Walton type is paying that much more.

For reference, we know a prominent multimillionaire who also paid $50,000 before taxes. No room.
