I wouldn't say she has a problem but they are big wine drinkers. They usually have 1-2 glasses every night or so.

I thought you just started working for them? How do you know this...and what business of yours is it? I like you less and less every time you post.

And 1-2 glasses a NIGHT...intervention time!

I had a week long shadow ( request of mb) before this week. I kid you not she drank every night except Wednesday evening. Who cares if I post it? They don't know about this site, and I'm not posting any private information about myself or them. Go get laid. You're way too uptight and annoying.

You have insulted, sworn at, and just been foul in general to every person who dares to disagree with you. Good thing you spend your days around children...it's a wonder you have difficulties with interpersonal relationships.

PP here. Still don't get why MB didn't know the route (since you've confirmed it was her account), and why you knew the fare was $18 (even though she told you it was $20). This is an odd story.

She texted me like 5 times between 2 and 3:30am. Then 7 texts at 8am. I don't thinks I'm overreacting. I was in bed and kept waking up because of her incoming texts.

Weren't you being driven home at least part of that time period ? You said you left at 2am. What did these texts say?

She texted me around 2:20. I only live 10 minutes away from them.

If your employer booked you an Uber through their own account, they would know the route and the cost of the ride (and you, as just the passenger, would not). I am also confused as to how you knew the exact fare of the ride, but so did your MB, but she did not know the route. (Also, if you knew the fare from seeing the taxi meter, if it was a taxi booked through the Uber app, Uber adds fees to the fare, which likely explains the discrepancy.). Could you explain, OP?

+1. If they got her the Uber, it must have been on their account and thus they had all the details. I think we have a troll here, DCUM.

Why is everyone beating the OP up? The MB was very weird especially after insisting on the Uber. And now she's admitted she was drunk. As an MB that would be my biggest nightmare. Anyway I'll guess you'll find out whether she's a normal person who did a really weird thing while drunk, or a loon all the time.

Turn your phone off! My phone is for my convenience and it goes off when I decide and back on when I decide.

Oh wow, go you! Really proud of you that you can control your phone.

The OP is absolutely right to question whether they will be good employers.

It sounds like it's largely resolved (though I'd still be wary, especially if the MB drinks a lot). But the people who put this on OP are crazy.

This. If we get back after midnight, we always offer to pay for a cab/Uber. And if the cost/route seems off, you can look at it on Uber and see for yourself.

OK, but not everyone is experienced in babysitter etiquette. It's easy enough to say that you require cab fare after x hour. A lot of us live in places where everyone drives. It would be weird for many of us to have a sitter who had no way home, and to pay the equivalent of another hour of sitting would be annoying if it's not the norm.

And, in this case, they were following custom and paying, anyway.
