You know am a nanny for many years and for my experience you and your husband are not giving enough attention to your kids,try to do the same nanny do you going to see the big change,sorry say that,but I have manny ,many years of experience,plus I was teacher in my country.

To the mum. Don't stress it will pass it's very normal. It shows you have found a nanny that loves your kids and us mums can't help be a bit jealous when it comes to our kids. Yes you should set firm guidelines for her but you learn to pick your battles. If the kids are happy it's a good sign. I have a nanny too and face a few bitchy Comments as generally others battle with school drops, getting ready for work/school etc . I'm fortunate enough to have help. Generally the comments are people who love to judge as it makes them feel better about their own daily struggle and they are jealous. We all do what we have to do so we can work/provide for the family. There's no perfect solution. We all muddle through best we can
One of my children is adopted and she bonded with the nanny quicker than me. It was tough but unsurprising as I'm at work. It passed
To the ridiculous people that make comments like why is she holding a 3 year old? Are you serious?? I hope you don't have children. I have 3 children and 3 year olds(and sometimes 5 year olds) need holding

If you feel like you are visitor sin your own home then don't hire nanny, simply put them in daycare....

And I mean I'm sorry, but you want her to write down that a child refused carrots? Does she then need to record that he are carrots the next day? You're being obsessive and weird. Your alternatives? Either you or DH SAH...or go ahead and hire a crappy nanny who leaves the house a mess, doesn't get the kids clean and fed before you're home, can't pack a lunch to save her life, doesn't understand developmentally-appropriate discipline, is negligent or shows poor judgment... Sure. Hire that woman to watch your kids and soon they'll be crying when YOU leave. Would that feel better for you OP?
