The parents call me by name, but when they talk to the child about me, I'm Miss X. When I talk to a child's teacher, I call the teacher by name, as the teacher has offered it, but talking to the child it's always Mr. or Ms. Y. This is part of teaching children proper manners. There is no reason for adults to call each other Mommy and Daddy to model the language skills unless you are constantly talking to each other and never to the child.
