2. No, professional nannies don’t wear perfume. Babies and young toddlers shouldn’t have it around, and with so many kids having asthma or allergies? We avoid it.

Nanny here and you can absolutely say something politely and should. I don’t wear perfume to work but once when my sweet employer was pregnant and very sensitive to smells, she asked me to please change soap (it was Safeguard) and of course I complied immediately without any hurt feelings.
