I might turn it around and say you would love to babysit. If you stay past 11 PM you want to make sure the family understands that a car service or taxi back to your home in {location} is expected at the family's expense.
An alternative is to charge a premium hourly rate after 11 pm - maybe $10/hour more - so you are paying for it that way?
I do know it is common in NYC for families to pay a sitter's return transportation when late at night. Many nannies have this written into their work agreements, and many expect this from 9PM and later.
The key is communication - if this is something you need you need to articulate that. If the family doesn't want to agree, they are free to move on to another babysitter. Suffering silently, or bringing it up after the fact never works well for anyone.
