Sounds like there was more to the story than the nanny being late every day if she quit through email with no notice. Sorry to hear you now have to start the search all over again but clearly she wasn't the right fit.

Wow! Bummer. My guess is she had her own childcare or elder care issues and realized she couldn't swing a full-time job.
