Make her think when you are not working, neither is your cell phone.

Dont ask, tell her this is how its going to be. After a couple werks she will give up and you can start leaving your phone on again

Your mistake was asking if she minded instead of telling her "I will not respond to your texts"

Mat leave is already worked out. The PT nanny is going full time for the 6 weeks that im leaving.

I asked her if she would mind if I do not respond to her texts after midnight. She said, "Well, if you are not asleep, why can't you reply?"

Its just the little texts like "Do you know where the white blanket with the pink dots is?" Me: in the dryer. Her: Did you wash it with Dreft or Tide. Me: Dreft. Her: Oh Good! Thanks! Did you put fabric softner? its a little scratchy?

Im just sitting here thinking " the fucking blanket is like 16 god damned years old and its hand knit, it should be scratchy."

Maybe she wants you to quit so that she doesn't have to accommodate your maternity leave?

I know many of us nannies have gotten texts like these, so if this isnt a troll post then...honey I feel for you. PS this includes texts canceling on us the night before, and asking us where random items are on our off hours, yes MB's talking to you ad your random texts! Emai us when we're off like your boss does for you!
