Subject: I need advice on quitting a nanny job
There is no such thing as a contract for nannies, only an agreement, which is nothing legal. Get a new job ASAP before your nightmare explodes in your face. I am sorry for your awful predicament.
Whoever stated the above gives bad advice.
There is a contract which is an agreement between a nanny and employer period. Even an oral agreement when both parties agree is a contract. Both are legal...It is wise to always have a written contract which states what your hours, duties, paid holidays, sickleaves are. As a nanny you want to play smart and not play hard and deal with crab.

What a relief. Turn them in, to save those poor children. At least talk to some kind of professional about the situation.

Yes, Friday I left a letter on their bed. I feel bad about leaving the kids, and I don't like being jobless, but it's a relief to never have to go back! I wish I would've quit a long time ago! Now I'm looking for a new job... And seriously considering turning them in to child protective services.
