Top pay is considered $35 plus, btw. Also, if you’re seeking a Nanny make sure you aren’t expecting the Nanny to do Housekeeper’s tasks as that’s the main reason you are not attracting anyone.

OMG, there are stupid vaccine deniers in DMV? Not even talking about covid vaccines, but how can they deny regular vaccinations to their child? And then we wonder why we have those measles outbreaks...An agency specializing in anti-science nannies is something hew to me. I just want to believe that this cannot be true.

Need a New Nanny Yesterday: Flaky candidates all around.
Please tell me that you told the agencies about these candidates. NannyPoppinz does have some Nannie’s who don’t do vaccines… but that’s because they match them with families who don’t do vaccines, and they’re usually very careful about matching them up that way.

I have been attempting to use WHN to find a nanny for the last two months and so far they have given me one candidate who didn’t want the job, one who lived out of state and couldn’t meet for an in person interview, one who was actively in school training for a different (not related to childcare) career, and one who never called me back. At a complete loss as to why people recommend this agency.

Look, if everything about your work history was as good as you say, it’s not that you weren’t good enough. Agencies routinely have more applicants than they can properly deal with, but not enough of the truly excellent nannies that parents want.
WH is so big, it’s like a nanny mill. They don’t have enough staff or interest in providing much personal attention to the parents or the applicants. It’s simply not cost efficient, and it’s all about that. Of course some excellent nannies will fall through the cracks and get rejected.
Plus, it may be that at the time you applied, they didn’t have any parent requests for your caliber and willing to pay an appropriate rate. They’re very good at convincing parents that almost anyone can afford a nanny.
