We're not going to have a nanny this fall, since both kids will be in school, but we'd like to find a person to work in our home 12-20 hrs/week to do laundry, tidying, food prep, errands. Would love suggestions on how best to find candidates--many thanks!

Anyone have thoughts on where to find good housekeepers? Ideally, it would be someone who could come 2-3 times a week for a few hours a day and do a mix of house cleaning, laundry, food prep, and other daily tasks. So not really a job for a house cleaning team -- we would prefer a single person who we get to know fairly well.

Good luck finding someone for minimum wage.

You spend $1k on housekeeping every week?! How messy is your house?

Your math is off. $42 an hour x10 hours is $420 per week. Still a lot though.

No. A stage is $60/hr.
