Can she become IQ retroactively if she actually has had infant experience?

Doubtful about retroactively qualifying. It would have come up when they checked her before.

Or do I need to rematch for only a 2-month stint?

Talk to your LCC asap.

Oh and one more thought - I really did stick to the guidelines that the AP did not care for my infant. That sometimes meant that I would get a sitter for the baby and either AP would have the night off, or she would watch the older kids. (This only happened a handful of times, when I needed a break or went out with DH). AP didn’t seem to mind a second sitter at the house - I think she was grateful we were following agency rules and guidelines.

Congrats to both op and pp! I had a baby while hosting an AP. The only challenge during my pregnancy was that I was so tired in my third trimester, I would fall asleep by 7:30 pm! So I felt bad about not being able to visit with her at night. She didn’t seem to mind though.

Having the newborn was no problem. AP’s room was far from our room, so she never heard the baby at night. I took an extended maternity leave for 4 months. AP’s responsibilities were clearly delineated - I did everything baby related, she only handled my older kids.

It worked out just fine. Best of luck to you both!

OP said the AP is already IQ.
