It was hard because I needed to rest to get over it and I couldn't AND had to work and take care of the kids all day.
This isn't a covid issue, we are all vaccinated.

Typically in a daycare or school environment parents are asked to keep their kids at home if they are sick, some parents will listen others choose to ignore and get the entire classroom sick. Why is it so different if a nanny asks the same thing? I’ve been a nanny for 20 years and if I had the sniffles the family will ask me to not come in and it will be paid even if I insist the still told me it’s best I stay home and get some rest. You are a monster expecting a nanny to work around your germs when you wouldn’t do the same. What you don’t like for yourself don’t do to others NANNIES ARE PEOPLE TOO. We are not your door mats so respect us as such.
Sigh, reading comprehension is important here. OP and posters didn't post about the KIDS being sick, they posted about the PARENT being sick. No daycare makes you keep your kids home because mom or dad has a cold. Try to read more before you post something idiotic like this. You're an embarrassment to us professional nannies (though I suspect you're a troll trying to make nannies look bad)

Depends on your illness. Cold, yes. Covid, no. A serious illness like cancer, she takes care of kids but not you. You hire a nurse for that.
