Half day with after school care = DAYCARE OP. Why are you in denial about childcare hours?

Sorry. I didn’t think I needed to specify half day preK with aftercare on site. Unfortunately we could not afford preschool half day and our nanny for aftercare. Anyways thanks everyone for the kind advice. We told her weeks ago, and have posted several glowing references on local boards and listserves. I have had several reference checks with parents so I’m hopeful she will have a job lined up. We ended up giving her 3 months notice along with telling her we would pay her 4 weeks beyond when her job ends regardless if she has another lined up. We also have her a raise in the hopes that she will start at this level with her next family.

Prek is for four year olds. She's in daycare.

You sure got me!

Anyways, she found a job and I am thrilled for her. It improves her commute and she’s starting with a family welcoming their first baby which was her ideal scenario.
