^^The child leads a mostly normal childhood.
He was attending public school and was integrated into the regular classroom.
He also belonged to a local church’s Awana club as well as attended several camps during the summer.
(Summer ‘19.)
He had the majority of his surgeries during his first year of life.

Sn explains so much more!
If you know your charge has (physical/medical) sn, why is this even a question?! There’s no way I’d take a medically fragile older child with a toddler to an unknown house, because I can’t control the environment. Now, I’d have no problem inviting them over, but that’s me.

He needs to take antibiotics 2x/day and has had about eight surgeries total since birth.
His cardiologist also says he does not have a functioning spleen.

You didn’t clarify the driving rules before you started?
I make sure that any restrictions for the position are listed in the contract, along with the timing and conditions under which the restriction will relax or be lifted. I agree with you, OP, I like giving children a variety of experiences, so driving or taking them on public transit is essential. I’m happy to deal with restrictions for 3-6 months, but then I expect to be allowed to go out of the neighborhood. If the family isn’t willing to write out the restrictions and lifts, then I’m just not a good match. That’s the right time to find that out, not after 6 months.
Btw, why isn’t a 6.5yo walking?!

This is an epitome of the Sergeant of the “grammar” police.
In writing a college essay or journal op-Ed, I can understand following these grammar rules but for blogs & such, as long as there is no misspelling involved, any writing style is accepted.

You were in the wrong not to ask her beforehand . It’s her kids she has a right to know if you go to a new persons home . All the nannies posting that their bosses let them have free reign are stupid . Those parents don’t care about their kids . A parent should always know what’s going on with their kids no matter how good the nanny is .
