Nannies that are respected, paid well and thought of as a person and not an object in the home. A nanny that is hired for her education and experience and is treated as a team parent.
A nanny is not a parent, nor should she be considered in parenting decisions.

Never said that but okayyyyyy
I said team parent — on a team. Level with the parents. Giving advice and guiding the parents with the current guidelines, regulations and laws. Which is why nannies must continue their education and trainings every year. Nannies should stay current with everything child related, so when needing to give guidance to parents they are giving the most current advice and help.
Personally
And yes I am considered in the decisions because, guess what, we work together as a team! But hey. I’ve only been doing this 28 yrs. I’m only on my 3rd family and I also have a masters in education. Oh and credentials in child nutrition, swimming, sleep training, and more. I’m also in my 4th class this year. Currently it’s conscious discipline. And when I’m hired by parents I’m hired for my education, skills and experiences.
Sorry you’re not respected in your positions
