^^ I don’t think a Mother’s Helper drives the kids anywhere.

Her job would be basically working alongside you.
Together you are a team vs. her working independently.
She usually has very little to no autonomy.

She is like your right-hand girl/woman.

What caught my eye re: your post was that you complained about mileage costs.
If you are asking someone to drive her own vehicle - then it is only fair to provide them w/the current IRS rate per mile.


Also, a Mother’s Helper is someone young who will assist you in caring for your child.
You seem to be searching for a Nanny imo.

It sounds like they’ll be in brick and mortar part time, then doing zoom and other online work part time. Neither allows them to care for someone else’s kids.

It sounds as if you aren’t quite cut out to employ a traditional nanny OP. Perhaps you can find a college student who is distance learning and would be willing to act as your mother’s helper. I’d up your pay rate though to at least $16. With Target and other retailers paying $15/hour you need to compete with them financially, since working for you eliminates the benefit of having friends at work.
