DS' nanny does everything for him, nothing for anyone else in the family. Her non-childcare duties are his laundry and tidying up his room, not much else. She runs the dishwasher and tidies up in the kitchen out of the kindness of her heart. I expect her to focus on the child. He eats what the family eats but if he didn't, his meals would be her responsibility too.

Lazy Nanny here! Instead of scrubbing toilets and cooking for adults I spend time engaging the children. Books, music, art, outside play, learning all the while. Oh, I do cook for my charges, do their laundry, and help keep the house tidy. No screen babysitters when I’m on duty.

I guess PP is ok with barely adequate care as long as her house is clean and her dinner is hot. Poor kids.

I generally treat my employers the way they treat me. I'm lucky because I've worked for families that always had my back and I'd walk through fire to protect their children. So if it is helpful to MB for me to handle some of the extracurricular stuff while she is at work somewhere else trying to make money I think I can unload a dishwasher or fold some laundry. I'm not being taken advantage of because I choose to pitch in and help. If I do feel I am being taken advantage of I do something about it.
