Can people comment with how much they are actually paying? I will also be hiring a nanny in the fall for a 2.5 year old and 5 month old. Our 2.5 year old will attend a 3-hour preschool in the morning, come home for lunch, take a nap, and then need the nanny’s engagement until we get home. I want to pay the nanny fairly but also want to leave room for raises over the 4 years we plan to have a nanny. Thanks for providing specifics!
A share is 2 families. Each family pays less ($12-12.50) than they would for their own nanny($20-22), but the nanny gets more ($24-25) due to dealing with two families.
You’re looking at needing your own nanny for two kids. Starting salary to get someone legal, on the books is around $20/hour. It goes up with education, experience and other factors.
