And cameras exist (and are used) for a reason. If you don’t tell the parents what you decide to do with their child, then they have an understandable right to be annoyed or even angry when they see something they don’t like on camera.

1) No, you should never be spitting into anyone’s food, which is essentially what this was. You wouldn’t spit on an apple and hand it to a friend, so why would you do this to a child? Cutlery exists for a reason.
2) Baby-led weaning is fine but it is also NOT the nanny’s call. Stick to purees unless the parents decide to try BLW.
3) You may not like cameras but it sounds like they were pretty up front with the fact that cameras are a part of this job. So get used to it or quit.

I find it very creepy + voyeuristic to watch someone on camera.
I was playing w/their dog yesterday & noticed a camera on the patio.
Plus they have like two cameras in each room minus the bathroom.
Would you keep this job??
Your boss was correct, OP. You were wrong.
The camera issue is separate and totally up to your comfort level. Although I do think that nannies will eventually have to make peace with cameras as they are coming down in price and so easy to use.
