What makes you think you’ll get a bonus from someone who is this mentally unstable? Get out of there! No job or bonus is worth being abused by your boss. If you stay, expect more of the same treatment, cause you basically are telling her, “it’s ok to yell at me and send me home after I try to stand up for myself. I’ll still show up the next day.”

What if she doesn't give you the bonus?

Also, if you know that's your plan you can consciously remind yourself everytime she acts this way that you won't be there long. Just knowing your eye is on the door will help you let more of her behavior roll off your back.

I think her behavior is inexcusable, but biding your time to ensure the kind of transition you want (inclusive of bonus and good reference and next job lined up) makes eminent sense.
