Why don't you just ask her if there's anything else you can be working on while she's with the baby? Or if she wants you to be taking the baby more often?

Is nanny 5? The damn baby sounds like s/he is a newborn or young infant. They probably don’t even have logs or building materials yet.

I don't know how old the nanny is lol but I meant a tree house like structure, not something made of Lego.

The baby is tiny. S/he won’t be able to use a treehouse for years, if the parents even allow little Snowflake to play in one. Also, you assume that the parents want a treehouse in their backyard, and that the nanny has the first clue of how to build one (I certainly don’t). This is honestly one of the weirdest suggestions I have ever seen on here.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. She could even find some branches and plant material at MB's property to fashion furniture and baskets to decorate it with.

I will echo that if you are being paid well and they are good people, stick with it a while longer. It will most likely not stay like this for long. If you find in a few more months that you are still bored, its time to move on.

Honestly, I probably would use part of the time for myself as well. However, I would use part to read articles and books, but that’s me.

You are a terrible nanny as well as a lazy and stupid person. I’m actually embarrassed for you.

I wouldn’t even consider building a playhouse, let alone a treehouse.

It’s nothing wrong with watching Netflix, surfing the web or reading a book of your choice. Nothing about that says lazy, you’re enjoying your downtime and your MB knows that and even said it was okay to watch tv. If she cared, she would have given you more responsibilities and you’re already doing laundry. Hang in there!

Come on... she needs to take some initiative.
