Of course you take a break. Probably during he afternoons nap. Half of it is for your break and half to do whatever if that's part of your duties. When had a nanny for 3 years and my kid napped for 2.5 hrs every afternoon. I implored her to take at least an hour to rest, recharge etc. and since she did cooking and baby laundry that didn't need to be done every day so if she had time for a longer break she should do that too. Since the rest of the time she was very hands on with the kid including lots of walks and interacting etc
