Nanny here and I'd like to say that the children we care for give us love as well. Even when we aren't their nannies anymore. Feeling blessed.

You were a nanny and now runs home daycare? You’re not doing both now, it’s not the same thing.


I should have mentioned I'm not in the US.
In my country (in western Europe), people who own a home daycare are called "nannies" as well

I do love my children! And our first nanny loves them dearly. I just want that again.

I was so moved by what OP’s charge said and agree with it. “Nannies give us love”. I will not allow yet another thread to evolve into “nannies are just household employees and mean nothing to the children in their care”.
