This. I'd at least figure out how to feel my family (AP aside) some.fresh vegetables and fresh grains (not constant boxed pasta).

OP here, I will be totally open to it, however her schedule will be 8-5 almost every day, so I am not sure how she will manage to cook diner when she is not on the clock, unless she really WANTS to.

It sounds fine to me, but would you be open to her cooking one night/week if she wants to? My sister had an au pair who loved to cook, and did so once/week by choice.
