Subject: Nanny share when you're the family that hosts
I agree with others. I have never known any family to ask their share partner for money towards utilities; it’s part of hiring a household employee and if you don’t want to throw out money for extra expenses then you should split hosting or opt out of it. You mentioned it was your choice to host full time and there are plenty of nannies who work in the presence of a stay at home parent- did they say they wanted to be at your house or did you offer? You can address the diaper and wipe situation. Let them know you’d prefer they bring their own and they nanny will make sure to remind them. If they forgot, the stay at home parent can bring them.

OP, in your original post you say that it is YOUR choice to host the share
"We host the nanny share, and this is our preference."
But later you try to make the case that you hosting the share is for the OTHER family's benefit
"In the other family one of the parents works from home so this is why we don’t rotate houses and why often it’s not a huge rush or inconvenience to get the kid here...given that the other family uses their house as an office, they benefit in many ways from us hosting."
Which is it?
