Do the parents understand what a nanny is? Maybe they don't know the difference between what a home daycare is and what a nanny is. I would suggest that you ask them if they are aware that a nanny works out of their house.

Creepy, much? Others are right. If the kid’s not gonna be at your house, there’s no possible reason they need to see it. If you still want to meet with them, I agree at a neutral place like Starbucks as a pp suggested is the best option. I wouldn’t recommend being alone with those weirdos, for your safety. People are crazy.

I suggest passing on this altogether. If they’re this intrusive and skeevy now, what will it be like working with them? No thanks.

Dear God, OP, I hope you aren’t even considering this! It does sound like a scam.

If you will be caring for their child in your home, then this makes sense.
Or even if you will be bringing their child into your home at any given time, sure.

But if you will be providing care in their home, then I would not like this.

It could be a scam OP so please be careful.

RED FLAG!!! Do not continue the interview process with this weird couple. Graciously decline to proceed even if they recons their need to see your home. Have nothing more to do with them.
