Why not move daycare and preschool over here? Most parents use the names interchangeably, and even if it’s a preschool vs daycare (short days, not all weekdays for toddlers, not available for infants), many nannies can give input that parents don’t see. We also deal with the reality of going pt once the kids start preschool.

IMO, APs are closer to nanny issues than family issues, so they don’t belong with family relationships. And if nannies/babysitters are over here, and the only other 1-1 childcare option (APs) are over there, that’s strange. It’s makes more sense to have all childcare options together.

Doesn't matter to me if you move it, so long as I can still find it and it has it's own unique section. Would be nice if we could expect fewer trolls talking about how AP host parents should just have nannies.

I like the idea.

If there is any cost to you associated with moving it, I would wait til after the lawsuit ends. If the agencies lose, the program won't be viable anymore and you can just close the forum. But otherwise, I don't think it matters very much where it is located.

I just don’t understand why there can’t be a parenting forum and a childcare forum. The issues related to parenting and non-childcare related off topics can be in one and everything related to childcare including nannies, au pairs and babysitters.

Now we have a bunch of nannies trolling the posts saying why bother with au pairs when nannies would be superior except we’re too cheap.

In the main forums, I bet we’d have a bunch of people who have never had au pairs and wouldn’t really seriously consider having one talk about how ridiculous our au pair issues sounds...
