OP here. Thanks everyone for the empathy, kindness and suggestions! I did make a point of getting more sleep on Thursday night and kept in mind how bad I felt last week and Friday with my little guy was great! I did all the pretend games he loves and gave him real quality time. I feel much better this weekend!

I'm a nanny with 3 little ones five, 3 and almost one. I get exhausted too but I'm lucky that the parents know it and do a ton to help me out organizing pick-ups, getting home from work early, not asking me to do many chores. I'm also lucky that the children are pretty well behaved. But if the parents weren't engaged or the kids were mean it would be brutal.
