Oh please, most of us nannies drive the children around and have no problem with it. OP needs a new nanny.

That was my thought... Seeing my clean driving record is always more important to my families than anything else!

It will be more than someone who drives but not as much as a 10 hour employee. And kids are supervised in Uber.
And you don’t have to get a new person.

This.

Could she do an hour before school with the kids and then 2 hours of housework and then be done for the day? Then you need an afterschool driver / nanny for another 10 hours a week.

this was when we got an au pair. or started massive car pools with neighbors. are you in public school or private school? both have car pool systems and parent communities that help with this. and any travel team sport.

It’s hard to let a trusted and loved nanny/housekeeper go but you need someone who also drives. She will understand if you give her ample notice and a stellar reference.

She is undocumented. How can she get a drivers license?

We have a " I-know-it-all here". I've been illegal twice. Still got my driver's license from MD, was able to renew it even and also could drive with my driver's license from abroad.
There was an INS center right next to a DMV somewhere on redline in MD. I couldn't believe it when I took the turn to go renew my MD license while illegal and first thing I see is INS office and the DMV/DMA whatever they call it in MD. Not sure , but until couple of years ago, MD let illegals get licenses. Took a friend of a friend there and gave him my car. The guy didn't pass the driving test part.
