I think your nanny is turning out to be unreliable and you would do well to look again. You'll find someone great; be honest in the interview about what didn't work with the old nanny and you'll be able to weed out the wrong people.

No one should ever wait to be paid. Clearly you have never owned or run a company, PP. I went into labor two weeks early and was writing checks to my employees during contractions. I was not one minute late in paying my employees.
You screwed up big time, OP. Never do that again.
