If you want someone who is a maid, Butler, chauffeur, nanny, household mananger, etc then you pay accordingly for that. No, I would not take my boss to the airport nor would they even ask. Are YOU serious? Driving and picking up from the airport ONE TIME doesn't make you a chauffeur. It makes you an awesome, helpful, valuable employee who has critical thinking skills like - "hey - I recognize that getting to and from the airport with young kids is really stressful because of the car seat situation, and I'm going to go the extra mile to help them because I'm part of this village too."

To me you sound immature. Working til 12 and then again at 8am? Yeah, that's why I and many other professional and non-professional employees have to do on occasion for work.

You’re not their chauffeur, you’re their nanny. They can’t figure out a way to get themselves to and from the airport like plenty of other families do when going on vacation? My nanny family does. How ridiculous.

While I very much agree with you, and as a nanny I am highly flexible with my family. I am actually driving 5 hours round trip to pick up my NF’s relatives on a weekend. First, I am ASKED and can absolutely say no. Additionally, I receive good benefits and would never accept a position that I had to work when the family is on vacation. The OP was told that she would be doing something both out of her job scope as well as outside of her hours. It also appears that the OP only gets one week of vacation time. My guess is that her pay and benefits package is not top of the line (obviously, given the vacation situation discussed) and while they provide her with flexibility, the family knew that going in and likely pays accordingly. OP absolutely does not owe her NF this request/demand. I would decline simply because of the way they handled it.

OP, since you are working that week, I agree with the suggestion that you drop their car off during working hours and they can pay for your Uber home. It is a fair compromise. Additionally, I am curious as to what your tasks for the week are.

Exactly my point! They ordered me without even asking if I could. They expect me to drive MY car and to take them to the airport. When it comes up again, I’m going to tell them I can drop them off in THEIR car and I am not available to pick them up. I’m also going to tell them know that next time they travel if they can ASK me if I’m available for something that is Out of my job description
