Nonsense. A 66 year old woman in good shape can keep up with any toddler - even a runner like my DD. I have seen overweight 20 something’s that I know couldn’t keep up with my DD. Our nanny is 60 and can literally run circles around me!
We all have the freedom to hire who we think is best. I think someone of that age is not best.
You are an ageist - it is a form of prejudice just like any other. There are lots of choices in hiring a nanny but race, religion and age should never be a consideration.
You know what? If my six year old had a 66 year-old teacher at school I wouldn't blink an eye. But in my home, which is a third story walk up, while carrying a sleeping toddler? Yes, I'm not going to pick the 66 year old for that.
66 is the new 36.
